For the eighth consecutive year, American Airlines customers and employees continue their effort to make a difference in the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children by supporting the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign through UNICEF’s Change for Good program.
From October 17-31, flight attendant volunteers known as Champions for Children, use those iconic orange UNICEF Trick-or-Treat boxes to collect donations of foreign and domestic currency from customers on select international flights. In addition, American will host a family-friendly event at its headquarters in Dallas/Fort Worth, on October 27, to give employees the opportunity to contribute to this worthwhile cause. American invites our customers to join us in supporting UNICEF. By donating to American Airlines Kids in Need program, you’re helping make a difference.
The American Airlines Kids in Need program provides worldwide support for children and their families, as well as for organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with needs for medical, educational and social services issues. Change for Good is an innovative partnership between UNICEF and the international airline industry and one of UNICEF’s best-known and longest-running partnerships. Thanks to the generous support of customers and participating airlines, the global Change for Good program has generated more than $140 million, which has contributed to UNICEF’s efforts to helping save and improve the lives of millions of children around the world. Donations help UNICEF provide children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more. Its mission is to reduce the number of preventable childhood deaths from 16,000 per day to zero.
